Dar al-Hajar (Yemen)

Perched dramatically atop a natural rock outcrop in Wadi Dhar, roughly 15 km from Sana’a, Dar al-Hajar was built as a summer retreat in 1920 for Imam Yahya and today operates as a museum—an unmistakable Yemeni icon that looks carved right out of the stone itself.

Rzeszów’s modern cathedral is literally designed on the plan of a heart—a clever nod to its dedication. The complex was designed by Kraków architect Wiktor Cęckiewicz, and the parish notes the heart-shaped ground plan among its defining features.
